Our Android app is among the finalists in Globe’s Challenge For Android! It’s called StreetSmart, the first user-contributed traffic app in the Philippines for commuters and motorists within Metro Manila. It’s currently available for download for FREE. (Also available for download directly to your mobile phone.) As part of the competition rules, the app can only be currently downloaded through devices that use valid Globe APNs – internet.globe.com.ph (Postpaid) and http.globe.com.ph (Prepaid).
So what’s in store for StreetSmart users?
- Ability to share traffic information in Metro Manila by tagging color-coded pins on a map and leaving comments
- Access to up-to-date traffic information in the metro shared by fellow StreetSmart users
- Access to Taxi/Cabs, MMDA, Police, Fire, and other emergency hotlines
- Ability to automatically share traffic information submitted to StreetSmart via Facebook, Twitter or SMS
How StreetSmart can help you:
- Wondering whether to take EDSA or C5? Based on user contributions, StreetSmart users will be able to see where traffic is heaviest or lightest depending on the amount and color of pins tagged on the map. Red pin is for heavy, orange for moderate and green for light. Users can also tap the individual pins to see comments left by other StreetSmart app users.
- Have MMDA or LTO concerns? Easily dial the MMDA/LTO hotlines in the app and get your queries answered.
- Family and friends don’t have StreetSmart? Automatically share traffic information with them through Facebook, Twitter or SMS.
Download StreetSmart now and start sharing/viewing traffic information.
