Good news to all Android phone users! StreetSmart for Android v2.0 is now available for download from Globe’s website for free. It sports a similar interface to StreetSmart for iPhone and includes a few enhancements as well.

With v2.0, Android users now have access to the following features:

• uploading of photos to StreetSmart (via Plixi)
• viewing of MMDA’s traffic tweets in list view
• new emergency hotlines that were added to roadside assistance
• support for compass in determining location and direction

StreetSmart is a FREE mobile app that allows users to view and share traffic updates in Metro Manila on a real-time basis via iOS and Android devices.
