WebGeek Conference 2013

Conference + App Expo + Beer.

We’re inviting developers, makers, futurists and creatives to the WebGeek Conference 2013 where our CEO, Ramon Pastor, will be one of the speakers and panelists who will explore and discuss the future of software development.

The conference will be held at the Meralco Multi-Purpose Hall in Ortigas this Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Apart from having leading speakers and developers share their knowledge and expertise on development/coding and updates on the software industry, the conference will also be featuring an App Expo where developers can showcase/exhibit/demo their apps.

Nokia Announces Winners of Future/Capture Hackathon

Among the 10 developers who were picked from all over the world to join Nokia’s Future/Capture Hackathon held last August 30 to Sep. 1 in Lund, Sweden, 3 teams emerged as winners:

– 1st Place: Rudi Chen and Shida Li from Canada for their Smart Resizing app
– First runner-up: Jason Podwojski from UK for Social Scene
– Second runner-up: Matt Cavanagh from South Africa for a yet-to-be-named remote-control app.

Numlock’s Ramon Pastor created a Windows Phone app for Klieg. All of the developers managed to create working prototypes of their ideas by the end of the 27-hour hackathon. Congratulations to the winning teams and we look forward to seeing your apps on the Windows Phone Store.

Nokia’s Future/Capture Hackathon

We’re happy to announce that one of our founders, Ramon Pastor, was chosen, together with nine other developers from different parts of the globe, to participate in Nokia’s Future/Capture Hackathon to be held in Lund, Sweden from August 30 to September 1. His submission was chosen among over a thousand entries from developers all over the world. The shortlisted top ten developers will join Nokia’s Imaging SDK team in Lund to hack out their winning ideas.

We congratulate the other selected developers and wish Ramon the best of luck.

Garden Towers App for Ayala Land

Another Ayala Land Premier iOS universal app has just been released on the App Store. Developed by Numlock Solutions Co., in partnership with branding consultant Pobox Studios, Ltd., the Ayala Garden Towers app lets users explore this Ayala Land project’s various units, facilities, amenities and development plans through their iPhone or iPad devices. Users may share information on Ayala Garden Towers through Facebook, Twitter or E-mail.

Ayala Garden Towers is an Ayala Land, Inc. project under the Ayala Land Premier brand. Located on East Street, Ayala Center, Garden Towers is a two-tower residential development aiming to provide luxurious condo living amidst the grandness of nature. It’s the first residential condominium of Ayala Land to provide sunrooms and skygardens for its units.

• are a 3rd year or incoming 4th year student studying Computer Science or any I.T.-related course;

• have an ample knowledge of or a strong desire to learn iOS (Objective-C/Cocoa) and Android development from a young, smart and creative group in an exciting industry;

• are familiar with OOP language/framework such as Java, C#, C++,
