Developers Connect Summit 2013

Our President & CEO, Ramon Pastor, will be one of the resource speakers at Developers Connect Summit, this year’s biggest mobile development conference in the Philippines. With the theme, “Mobile Development and Beyond,” this one-day conference aims to bring together over 800 IT professionals, students and educators from all over the Philippines to showcase the latest trends and opportunities in the Information Technology industry.

We’re inviting mobile development professionals and enthusiasts to attend Ramon’s talk on “Trends in iOS Development.”

Garden Towers App for Ayala Land

Another Ayala Land Premier iOS universal app has just been released on the App Store. Developed by Numlock Solutions Co., in partnership with branding consultant Pobox Studios, Ltd., the Ayala Garden Towers app lets users explore this Ayala Land project’s various units, facilities, amenities and development plans through their iPhone or iPad devices. Users may share information on Ayala Garden Towers through Facebook, Twitter or E-mail.

Ayala Garden Towers is an Ayala Land, Inc. project under the Ayala Land Premier brand. Located on East Street, Ayala Center, Garden Towers is a two-tower residential development aiming to provide luxurious condo living amidst the grandness of nature. It’s the first residential condominium of Ayala Land to provide sunrooms and skygardens for its units.

The app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. It requires iOS 5.1 or later and is optimized for iPhone 5.

Updates to Klieg and WalletWhiz Out Now

KliegWW_Icons_615We have updates to Klieg, WalletWhiz & WalletWhiz Lite, available now on the App Store.

The latest Klieg release includes the following updates:

  • Addresses potential crash when previewing photos
  • Addresses potential crash when importing photos from library
  • Addresses potential crash when deleting photos

Klieg is a “photo-motion” iPhone app that allows users to create videos from photos taken with the app & photos imported from the Photos library. Users can choose from available free and paid filters for their video. Videos from Klieg can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, E-mail and Klieg is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Photo and Video category.

The WalletWhiz & WalletWhiz Lite updates address the following issues:

  • Addresses potential crash on start-up when app imports data from previous version
  • Addresses potential crash while selecting categories when adding new transactions
  • Addresses potential crash when editing categories

WalletWhiz is a personal budgeting tool that allows users to keep track of their spending habits against their periodic budget. Users can access their financial data through the Categories or the Calendar view. It’s available for only $0.99 on the App Store.

Numlock Developers and Designers Join Their First Hackathon

A team of developers and designers from Numlock joined AngelHack Manila last June 8 & 9 to create, within 24 hours, an issue-reporting and tracking tool called MailBug. MailBug aims to simplify and streamline the reporting, monitoring and tracking of issues by allowing users to submit or track issues, comment, reply as well as tag statuses via web, mobile and email (without necessarily forcing the users to register or log in).

Here are the results of our developers’ and designers’ first hackathon:

Although MailBug did not win in the AngelHack competition, it was chosen by BlackBerry as one of the top 10 finalists to compete for the chance to represent Manila in BlackBerry Jam Asia 2013 to be held in Hong Kong.

DevCon Mobile Camp: iOS

Our Co-Founder and Head of iOS Development, Ramon Pastor, will conduct a free, 5-hour workshop on iOS development at the DevCon Mobile Camp on March 23, Saturday, from 11 am to 5 pm. DevCon Mobile Camp: iOS will be held at Exist Techbar in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

The afternoon bootcamp aims to build iOS capabilities in programmers who are interested in creating applications using the iOS platform. At the end of the workshop, the participants are expected to have created their own basic, working iOS app.
