MindMash, As Seen on TV!

Neo_MindMash_Seen-onTV

We happily discovered that MindMash had been featured in CTV News’ App Central, alongside Essential Anatomy and Mailbox. A few days later, Michael Bancroft once again featured MindMash as one of his top picks in Apps of the World. The same video made it to Canada’s The Loop. The interest over there from our friends at Canada is humbling. Thank you and we hope to deliver more fun brainstorming and note-taking features on MindMash soon.

MindMash is a brainstorming and note-taking iPad app. It’s a canvas for your ideas and it’s free on the App Store.

iOS App Development for Kids!

Tuesday, March 26th, 2013

Hey mommies and daddies! Have you heard of the eighth grader who developed the app that toppled Angry Birds and became the No. 1 free app on the App Store in 2011? Or of Summly, an iOS app developed by a teenager which was recently acquired by Yahoo for a whopping $30 million? Have you seen the video of Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and other industry bigwigs encouraging schools to teach kids how to code?

Well, you could introduce your children to the art and science of programming by enrolling them in a workshop that would teach them the basics of how to make apps for the iPhone and iPad. Who knows, they could be the next iOS prodigy or successful startup founder.

Numlock Solutions, in partnership with Power Mac Center, is holding a workshop on iOS app development for kids ages 7 to 11 this summer at Power Mac’s Apple Authorized Training Center in Makati City. The training will be conducted by our resident iOS expert and head honcho, Ramon Pastor (himself a dad to two iPad & iPhone app enthusiasts). The first batch will run on April 20 and 27, while the second batch is scheduled to run on May 11 and 18. Equipment will be provided at the training center.

Slots are limited. For more information on the workshop, you may call PowerMac at 553 4211 / 553 6399 or email them at workshops@powermaccenter.com.

Level up through mobile apps!

Monday, March 25th, 2013

Are you an enterprise executive, business owner or startup founder? Consider bringing your products to the mobile arena. Mobile analytics firm Flurry released data that indicated mobile apps are outpacing the Web, 1.8 to 1 in terms of usage.  Research firm IDC has  published its forecast of mobile software sales exceeding the $35 billion mark in 2014 and “growing at a shockingly fast pace”. Industry insiders are also predicting the growth of enterprise mobile apps, as more and more companies realize the potential of mobile applications in reaching their mobile-heavy market, in improving internal business processes and in community management.

It’s time to level up through mobile apps.
