Numlock Developers and Designers Join Their First Hackathon

A team of developers and designers from Numlock joined AngelHack Manila last June 8 & 9 to create, within 24 hours, an issue-reporting and tracking tool called MailBug. MailBug aims to simplify and streamline the reporting, monitoring and tracking of issues by allowing users to submit or track issues, comment, reply as well as tag statuses via web, mobile and email (without necessarily forcing the users to register or log in).

Here are the results of our developers’ and designers’ first hackathon:

Although MailBug did not win in the AngelHack competition, it was chosen by BlackBerry as one of the top 10 finalists to compete for the chance to represent Manila in BlackBerry Jam Asia 2013 to be held in Hong Kong.

The First MobileMonday™ Manila Event

Numlock co-sponsored the first Mobile Monday™ Manila event last May 9, 2011 held at BBDO Guerrero / Proximity Philippines’ offices in Insular Life Building, Makati City. Around 130 people attended the event to share ideas, network with industry peers and hear trends, news and tidbits about the mobile industry from the following speakers:

1. Manolo Almagro – Independent consultant from the US, with over 15+ years of expertise working for global brands, specializing in building revenue generating, unified customer experiences across multiple digital channels
2. Matt Briant – Sales Director of Out There Media in the Asia Pacific region
3. Gio Bacareza – Head of Broadband, Internet and Data Services at Smart Communications, Inc.

The general panel discussion after the presentations provided great insight into mobile ad trends, telco services and local statistics on mobile usage on leading mobile platforms.

MobileMonday™ in Manila!

Manila joins the international MobileMonday™ community via MobileMonday™ Manila!

MoMo Manila is inviting you to its launch on May 9, 2011 (that’s a Monday, of course) from 7pm to 9pm at the offices of BBDO Guerrero/Proximity Philippines, 11/F Insular Bldg., Ayala Ave. cor. Paseo de Roxas, Makati City. Numlock Solutions Co. is one of the sponsors at MoMo Manila’s first event!
